While social media is free to use, a lot of resources go into creating high quality content that is educational and accessible in different languages. Although BANTAYnet is not-for-profit, and none of us get paid, there are running costs that we have to manage. Software for efficient internal operations and content creation, ensuring that all our trustees have the necessary hardware and training courses are just a few of the expenses we face. Success: Soft Launch Fundraising Campaign
As part of our Soft Launch in December 2020, we ran a Crowdfunder campaign to help us get BANTAYnet up and running. Thanks to the generous donations of our supporters we raised just over £2,000!
With the money we raised we will be able to achieve the following:
- Officially launch in April 2021
- Publish Online Safety basics in Bisaya
- Invest in relevant training
- Plan th rollout of Filipino language #2
